I have never been to a Red Robin and recently moved here so we tested it out. It was pretty packed. We waited about 10 minutes for a seat. The hostess was very personable. I have nothing bad to say about her. We were seated and got our drinks fairly quickly. Grant it the drinks were water. We ordered three burgers. The burgers were bomb! They were moist and had great flavor. But it took a good 40 minutes to get them...once we got them we had no sauces, or silverware. We had to use the Ipad thingy to call our server. Who wasn't even the one to bring us our stuff. We had three different people wait on us. After we ate we paid with the iPad device which I LOVED! I hate waiting on a server to bring a check so it was nice to be able to pay with that and leave. The whole process took about two hours however..way to long to grab a burger..so if you have time to kill, the food is good.

Before going in, we met some friends coming out. They warned about how the servers are slow to bring refills on the bottomless fries. Their server told them that new management had a policy of only one basket at a time per 3 people or something. Didn't realize how bad it was. Our burgers came with a piddling amount of fries. My wife had maybe 5 or 6 fries. The server said she'd bring more... But took quite a while. When she brought the basket of fries, it was again scanty. It didn't take long for us to polish off those so I asked for more as well as more of my sweet potato fries. A while later we got another teeny basket of steak fries. And an eternity later, we got more sweet sweet potato fries. Then, our server decided to "help" me with the new tablet-kiosk thing at our table that we use to pay with. I was paying with a $35 gift card. He must have got confused and thought our bill was 35.94 or something so he went ahead and finished the transaction on the kiosk with no tip. Then he said we could go ahead and use the kiosk thing with our credit card to pay the 94cents. then he left. But when I checked the receipt the kiosk printed out it said the total was 29.95 and the amount owing was 0. Their was no way to go on and do a new transaction for just a tip. I didn't have cash, and didn't want to go thru any rigmarole to add a tip to the gift card... Sigh. I hate not tipping, but the service wasnt great and it was kinda the server 's own fault... So... Anyway, we weren't full, but we didn't want to wait around another ten minutes for a few fries so we just left. I think there is probably crappy management there. It seems like they're more concerned about saving money by skimping on bottomless fries than they care about repeat business. And they probably yell at their servers if they give out too many fries, so the employees are bummed, undertipped and not super friendly... Oh well. The food tasted good. But we didn't get much and we got it slowly... Left unsatisfied. And now I've got 5 bucks left on my gift card. Maybe I'll go to a red Robin in another city some day. :\

The food is always great and the service is always awful. The last two times one person in our party had ordered a shake and both times it took 15+ minutes to arrive. One meal is delivered at a time, not all together, and no less than four different employee serve the food and drinks at those different times. It seems so chaotic and inefficient. The staff is always very pleasant so I wish I could review this place more highly.

This place gets 5 stars because we had an awesome waiter named Caleb who took great care of us!! The food was on point as well. I got the Whiskey River Burger, could've used a tiny bit more of the bbq sauce but overall was great. I feel like this is a consistent enough restaurant and good for families as well. Their fry sauce is bomb. They also have delicious malts. My friend got mint shake with brownie in it or something along those lines and that was also awesome. The signs they have in the mall make my mouth water and I always leave wanting to go to red robin. Sneaky!

There corporate was more worried about money then food. And then the changed there garlic fries to some nasty dry salt sprinkle. I used to go there to splurge to get the fries. Not any more. My wife had the Chili and it was nasty. We have had some good food here. Not this time. )-;

Stopped here for lunch on Monday, July 27. We were seated quickly in the bar section right under a ceiling fan that was on "high" speed. The weather that day was a brisk high 50's and rainy and the air flow around the table was very uncomfortable. We waited about 10 minutes for the waitress to come over so we could request to be moved. The waitress seemed somewhat irritated that we wanted moved but moved us across the bar. She took our drink orders and we received them quickly. We then placed our food order of hamburgers and a side salad and then we waited...and waited...and waited... After about 30 minutes our burgers were brought out by someone other than our waitress. All that time we waited, we did not see our waitress. After our food arrived, we wanted condiments (ketchup) for our fries. Not seeing our waitress or any employee, my husband got up from our table and went to find someone to bring us some ketchup. Our waitress finally came over to check on us about 10 minutes after our food arrived. I stated to our waitress that she could go ahead and cancel the side salad since it never arrived. She stated that she would check with the manager to make sure she could do that. ??? Um, I never received my salad and should not have to pay for something I didn't get, but she needed to check to make sure it was alright? At that point I figured I'd better ask for more fries since Red Robin offers bottomless steak fries. She left and came back about 10 minutes later to let us know that the manager approved taking the side salad off our bill. I asked about the fries and she said she'd be right back. After about another 10 minutes we decided that we just needed to be done so my husband left the table to find someone to bring us our check. We paid our bill and were preceding to leave when the bartender came over with a basket of fries asking if we were waiting on them. I let him know that we had requested them over 20 minutes prior and weren't interested anymore. Overall, I'd have to say this was the worst dining experience I have ever encountered. The overall time we spent inside from start to finish was about 90 minutes and this was mid afternoon on a Monday. I wouldn't recommend this particular Red Robin to anyone.

Terrible overall experience, despite tolerable food (once we finally got it). I'll start with the food, which wasn't too bad. I ordered the Royal Red Robin, which is a burger with bacon and a fried egg on it. It was pretty tasty, although the egg, which I asked to be over easy, was definitely over hard (i.e., no runny yolk, whatsoever). The fries were OK, but were underseasoned. The onion rings were decent. And that's where the positive ended. Now I will qualify this review by pointing out that I came with a party of 18 people. That would normally get a star buffer, but this was pretty rough. After taking our drink orders, the server came back to get our food order. We ended up getting a few drinks for the table, then a few food items. By the time the rest of the drink orders arrived, the people who had received their food items initially were pretty much finished eating. A few food items arrived incorrect and took a long while to come back out corrected. The time it took from the initial orders arrival until the delivery of the last drinks was a good 30 minutes. And for the final food items to arrive, it took a total of about 45 minutes from the first delivery. In the meanwhile, we didn't have napkins and silverware. I didn't even try to take advantage of the bottomless fries. Just wasn't worth it. When we left the manager acknowledged how poorly things had gone and tried to make amends. The service was certainly friendly all along, but it just didn't work well. Thankfully, we were all there to enjoy each other's company, so it wasn't a ruined night. But I'll likely avoid Red Robin in the future, at least in any group larger than 2-4 people.

This is where my girlfriends and I always go when we have a girls night out. I love that I can order their delicious burgers protein style without a bun. I love that they have a gluten free bun option! Their Campfire Sauce is AMAZING. Sometimes you get a dud in the fries, one that hasn't been cooked well enough, but that sauce and the fact that the fries are bottomless makes up for it. TIP: You must ask for them to keep bringing fries, and be vocal about it. Also make sure they do not skimp you on the sauce! Their shakes are VERY tasty, though skimpy. Even the monster size, for the price, just pales in comparison to the amount you can get at Scotty's. It's kind of deceiving, because the shake glasses are so tall and narrow, but if you ever order one to go, you'll be surprised at how small they really are. We've always had friendly, helpful service -- a few times I've been with my husband we've had a server-dud or two, but nothing to turn us off completely. I do think they could improve on service, refill drinks faster, keep the fries coming, but if you're not afraid to be vocal about your needs, it's great. I always leave a big tip to the servers who get it right!

I've gone here since it opened, and I would consider me and my family regulars. My kids love the atmosphere, and they like going here however I don't go here by choice. It's really hit and miss. Every time we go to Red Robyn there is always a mistake on our Oder. The service is just ok they have a few decent servers however we are never lucky enough to get them. The management at the Red Robin in Idaho Falls needs some touch on there management skills. This place has great potential however I've yet to see it.

Pretty good burgers and great for the kids! Not so good however for headaches.. Really noisy atmosphere but the service temporarily eases the pain.

I feel like this place has been slowly going down hill. The food takes forever to get there. The waiter never remembers to fill our waters or fetch us any misc things we ask for. Also two different waiters suggested we try a sauce that we didn't ask for and then charged us for them. We were disappointed in the service. However the food remains really good, which always seems to have me returning.

POSITIVES: I have come here several times, and the service and food has been amazing. You can get a free burger the month of your birthday if you pick up a Red Royalty card and activate it before your next visit (which is what we did). They kept our drinks filled, and continuously checked on us- bringing us anything we needed within 2 minutes (ranch, more fries). NEGATIVES: The only gripes I have are the amount of fries they bring (you get kind of gypped) and the fact that the very first time I went for my wife's birthday, we got the royalty card and activated it there on a smartphone to get a free burger that same meal, and it worked. However, the last time we went for my birthday, we got the card in advance and activated it before going, and they didn't accept it saying the earliest possible day to get a free burger would be the following day. PRICE: 8+ per person. RECOMMENDED: any of their burgers, their mozzarella sticks, and their root beer floats (free refills!)

Sad excuse of a restaurant. Our burgers took near 35 minutes to come out and were cold and overcooked. They tasted ok, but 35 minutes, cold and overcooked negates and positive comments I might have to say about this Red Robin. The service was extremely slow and it was hard to get any attention. I wouldn't recommend.

Once we got there, it took around 5-10 minutes to get a table, which wasn't too bad at all. Once we got to our table, our drink order was taken and we got our drinks quite quickly. So far so good. With our drinks we ordered 2 appetizers, pretzel bites and chips with salsa. After around 30 minutes, we finally got our appetizers, or should I say appetizer. We got the pretzel bites (which were great) but no chips. After a few more minutes, we got our food. My mom got a salad and my brother got spaghetti which they couldn't eat because they had no silverware for the first 5 minutes after they got their meals. After they got there silverware, the meal went smoothly.

The service was horrible! They claim to have endless fries but we only received one serving our humus came out without pita bread. I ordered a water with a lemon and got a water and had to wait 10 minutes for a lemon! Worst experience ever!

After getting off of the plane I was looking forward to a good meal. Red Robin is one of the few places I've been to in IF and it was pretty tasty. The server had no problem with me ordering my Whiskey River BBQ Chicken Wrap with buffalo sauce instead of BBQ sauce and ranch on the side with no cheese....(you should try this!) She was really nice and very attentive without being overbearing! Cold beer and the company of my guy that I only get to see every few months made for a great night!

Yummy!! Ordered a guacamole burger, it was so delish. I am a french fry purist, so I always ask for plain salt instead of their seasoning. Now if you aren't from Idaho or Utah and have never experienced "fry-sauce" ask your server for some. Idaho Falls Red Robin makes the best fry sauce out of all the other restaurants I've had it at. Now for service ... excellent. 5 stars just for the service. My friend ordered a chicken sandwich and they brought her a veggie burger, our server was very quick to correct it. Also, I ordered mandarin oranges instead of fries for my son and all he got was one or two oranges and a the rest was juice and bits. Our server was so apologetic about it and quickly brought my son some other fruit that he devoured. We had a great experience and I would definitely go back again.

Probably not going to go back....Tonight was NOT the first bad experience that I have had with the service here. Our waitress was inattentive and slow to respond to our request. It took 40 minutes from the time we were done eating until we were able to pay and leave. Disaster! At least my burger was good.

Must have been an off night. Long wait for food and never received the bottomless fries. 5 hungry kids waiting and they never came. Slow to no refills and food took a long time to arrive. Forgot mayo and it showed up as we were finishing. Maybe next time.......

Food was pretty good, and the service was okay, but you don't stop serving "bottomless" fries after two servings. I was really sad, but didn't complain. The waitresses seem to disappear after serving your entree, no matter how slow or busy, so you drink tends to go a while without re-filling. It's one of the best places in town to go for a burger, but not the best place to go for good service.

If it were up to me I would never eat at Red Robin, but since I was on a business trip with coworkers the dinner decision wasnt up to me. I was just along for the ride. Choices of where to eat in Idaho Falls are very limited. I figured coming to Red Robin I could at least order a chicken sandwich or shrimp instead of a burger. First off, this place had a noxious smell to it. I dont know what it was, but the restaurant smelled really bad. that was a major turn off. But the service was pretty good. The food was ok. I had the fish and chips. Not bad but nothing great. Really average. I would prefer to have fresh Cod but I know a chains not going to do that. Next time I come to Idaho Falls I will avoid Red Robin.

Read some of the other reviews... people generally come here because they can take advantage of the unlimited fries and many other bottomless foods they serve. Don't downgrade a place just because they didn't get you enough of your bottomless fries you fat slob. This place is great if you like getting the same burger every single time you go in. That's what they do best, they make the same thing every day all day.

I have been coming here since it has opened here in town. It is sad to see such a poor showing for a national chain. When the store first opened, it was perfect, just like every other Red Robin, quick food friendly staff, great busy fun atmosphere. But since then it has changed. The last few trips to the ol bird have since turned me off completely to the once great establishment. It has taken an average of 36.5 minutes to get food at separate days and times. So it is not due to the amount or difficulty of the orders. The staff seems more interested in the food they are going to order than the customers empty drinks. This may seem harsh, but when it first opened, before you could even get your first freckled lemonade down there was another waiting. If you are looking for a burger your money would be better spent at the McDonalds across the road and give the money you saved to the hobo on the corner.

Paleo - friendly alert! I am giving this place 4 stars because I totally appreciate how easy they make it for me to stick to my paleo diet. I got a bacon & avocado (okay maybe I snuck a slice of cheddar in, but it's been a looong time since I cheated) burger wrapped in lettuce. I told the waitress I was going to be a pain in the ass with my order and she said it was no problem, they are the kings of customizations. They let you sub broccoli for french fries. Paleo heaven, not kidding. I can't tell you how many times I eat out and don't even get full because I can't get enough veggies to go withy protein. I'm full & washing my meal down with a paleo-friendly nor-cal margarita, such a happy camper! Our waitress was so attentive & helpful.

Been to this particular location, kids in tow, several times over the past couple of years. Results have varied, but general good service. The last time we went, our food got messed up. Appetizer forgotten, then brought after, etc. obviously not the waiter's fault (he was great), but most likely mixups at the back of the house. We were assured a manager would talk to us, and he didn't, so my spouse spoke to him briefly before we left. He apologized profusely and did his best to make things right. No blaming on the staff, or any other behavior that happens with bad management. Very well handled, and insured our return.

The place was so busy and we had an hour wait, but the were attentive and apologized for our wait. We got a table and the server was very quick to get our order and even put in my young child's order so we could get it early. Service is always good and burgers are great.

Been going to Red Robin since I was a kid in Oregon. This one is no different: good burgers (Banzai Burger for the last 15 years of my life) and great fries. Don't come here for a romantic dinner, come here when you want to have a fun date because even if it is dead it'll still be loud.

It's hard to get away from the noisy packs of feral kids in eastern Idaho. There are just too many of them. If you want a nice quiet meal, this is not the place for you. Fortunately, I didn't come here for a peaceful meal. I was here mid-day looking for a good burger - on a Monday - right after school let out for the summer. My own little yelper felt right at home in the Red Robin throwing crayons, hitting his father over the head with a balloon, and screeching in delight. Pleasant waitstaff considering the evident chaos several birthday parties and running children incurred. It's a fairly new family (chain) restaurant and perhaps a bit more crowded than usual, but that didn't detract from the overall meal. Perhaps in my childless days I might have been more annoyed. Burgers were pretty good, but not spectacular. We were asked for "some pink or no pink" rather than the usual terms for meat "done-ness". While I was happy with my "some pink", Husband's "some pink" was much more pink than he expected. Proportions were pretty generous. I do like the unlimited drink refills, even on premium non-alcoholic drinks. Of course considering my "fancy" lemonade drink was nearly 5 bucks, I would expect refills. A-OK pretty much sums it up. I'd come back if really craving a fancier burger.
